- 1⁄2 teaspoon cardamom, whole,without pods.
- 1⁄2 inch cinnamon stick.
- 1⁄4 teaspoon whole cloves.

- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper or ground chilies
